The band which ultimately came to be known as Clear Blue Skies began as a project in 2016 when Lee Kirchhevel felt it was time to assemble a group of like-minded, experienced musicians with the goal of recording an album’s worth of his original songs. Recording was the main focus, more so than performing or even coming up with a band name. Lee and guitarist Jan Zverina co-led the recording project by learning as much as they could about the process involved and doing it themselves.
The band’s name in part reflects the biggest thing they learned: that one’s possibilities are endless and the way forward is truly limitless if one sets their mind to it. In fact Clear Blue Skies already has a second album’s worth of songs that now include originals and collaborations from other band members. So stay tuned for more Clear Blue Skies ahead!
